I have begun to imagine my stage collaborations as progressing into cinemetic explorations -- specifically into the genre of dance on film. I see how certain ideas and emotions, articulated in movement and gesture, with minimal use of words and a tradtional story line, can be told very powerfully, poetically, and succinctly in film. I have adapted several of my stage pieces into cinematic versions that utilize this type of artistic expression. In addition, I have compiled several documentary style video projects that trace the research and development of some of my more important stage collaborations and travel experiences. I have been calling these videos, "The Making of ..." and together as a series, they highlight my process - from research through development through to performance.
